Ebony, Box Wood and Tagua Nut.

Fruit Fly on Shrivelled Plum Necklace.

This is a necklace I made for my fiancée's birthday. It's not your conventional subject matter for a piece of jewellery, but hopefully it's not without it's charms. The little fruit fly is made of ebony and his teeth, eyes and wings are made from tagua nut, (It was a bit of a nightmare inlaying those little teeth). The shrivelled plum is made from box wood. The fly is held in place by a brass pin that should hopefully keep him firmly rooted to his plum, he's already survived a drop test or two.
Thanks for looking!
